Cover Artwork Contest

IU East students enrolled in a fine arts course are invited to submit artwork for the upcoming publication of Journal of Student Research at IU East! JSRIUE is recognized and indexed by Google Scholar and also listed on the Council of Undergraduate Research's website, so this is a great opportunity for students to get their artwork publicly shared! This is an exciting chance for photography students or graphic design students; it's also open to sculpture, pottery, painting, or drawing students—they may submit a photograph of their art. 

Additional Information for Students: 

• Deadline for cover art is April 8th, 2022
• No more than two submissions per student
• Email submissions to jsriue@iue.edu (email must be sent from your IU email)
• Dimensions of cover: 6x9 inches, portrait view
• Submissions should be in JPEG format, RGB color model, 72ppi (this is a digital publication)
• IU East swag prize for the winner! Winner must pick up their prize on campus.

Students may choose to include the title and volume information (The Journal of Student Research at Indiana University East    Vol. 4, 2022) in their submission, particularly if they want to get creative with the design of the typography. However, if students opt not to include this, we will add it to the cover, over their image; including the title and volume information is not a requirement for submission. 

The winner will be selected at the editors' discretion and will be alerted via their IU email around the end of April. The winner will be credited in the journal for their work but will need to sign a statement giving permission to use the work and stating that it is their original work.
