Focus and Scope

The Interdisciplinary Journal of Problem-based Learning (IJPBL) publishes relevant, interesting, and challenging peer-reviewed articles of research, analysis, or promising practice related to all aspects of implementing problem-, project-, inquiry-, or case-based learning in K–12 and post-secondary classrooms or workplaces.

The mission of IJPBL is to (1) Publish rigorous research, representing a variety of disciplines, related to problem-based learning, (2) Engage key and emerging scholars in significant discussion of key issues facing PBL researchers and practitioners, and (3) Provide up-to-date information to scholars and practitioners who are new to PBL research and pedagogy, enabling them to address current gaps in the literature and/or to transform current learning environments and practice.
