Focus and Scope
Description
Muslim Humanitarianism Review (MHR) Journal is dedicated to fostering scholarly dialogue and advancing research in the field of humanitarian affairs, philanthropy, civil society, public affairs and Muslim humanitarianism. MHR is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (September and March). MHR is sponsored by the Zakat Foundation Institute (ZFI). Its editorial operations are a collaboration between ZFI and the Muslim Philanthropy Initiative (MPI) at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Indiana University, with publication by Indiana University Press.
Aim and Scope
Muslim Humanitarianism Review (MHR) serves as an interdisciplinary platform for scholars and practicioners to research related to humanitarian efforts within Muslim contexts. MHR invites contributions from diverse fields. Our goal is to promote critical dialogue and innovative solutions that reflect the richness of Muslim humanitarian efforts worldwide. We encourage submissions that highlight case studies,commentaries, research notes, articles, aiming to enhance the visibility and impact of Muslim humanitarian initiatives.
Peer Review Process
Muslim Humanitarianism Review (MHR) is a peer-reviewed publication. The journal follows a double-blind peer review process and articles are chosen for their originality, appropriateness, and rigor of analysis.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
