Maria Rita Viana

Maria Rita Viana is a doctoral candidate at Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil, and has recently finished her Master thesis on the verse dramas of W. B. Yeats. She graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, where she also received a joint Capes/FIPSE scholarship to conduct research on Literature at New York University. While in the US on a Fulbright scholarship, she conducted the Plath research that led to the essay in this volume. She is currently a teacher at an American-Brazilian Binational Center in São Paulo, Brazil.
