President's Paragaphs: HASTI’s Preservice Teacher Scholarship: An Opportunity for Inspiration, Excitement, and Professional Development

Abstract
The author utilized HASTI's Preservice Teacher Scholarship to bring their science methods students to the annual HASTI conference. Results were overwhelmingly positive. The author encourages all science educators to share HASTI's annual conference with any preservice or beginning teachers to help get them connected to a group of dedicated science educators and to help develop their commitment to professional development and sense of professional identity.

In general, authors retain all rights to works they produce (If your work was written under a grant or you transferred your rights in writing check to be sure you still have copyright over the work). Since you have copyright in your work, The Hoosier Science Teacher (THST) published by The Hoosier Association of Science Teachers, Inc. (HASTI) and IUScholarWorks (Indiana University) needs your permission (also called a license) to publish and archive your work. By signing this form, you give permission as provided below.
