Abstract
This text examines philological issues not covered in Motets from the Chansonnier de Noailles, music edited and introduced by Gaël Saint-Cricq, texts edited and translated by Eglal Doss-Quinby and Samuel N. Rosenberg (A-R Editions, 2017); it focuses on the hybrid dialect of the scribe and the varied modalities of the works’ versification.
