  • Because the publisher supports Microsoft Word, author must save the file as Plain text (ASCII) or Rich Text format (RTF) if using another application.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES - BOOK REVIEWS:

The South Shore Journal accepts book review submissions that have not been previously published or that are not currently under consideration by other journals or publications. The book’s content and the review need to demonstrate relevance to the region to be considered for publication. Book reviews may vary and range from 1,000 to 2,500 words.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES – LETTERS:

The editors of the The South Shore Journal seek letters in response to previously published pieces, to facilitate dialogue between authors and readers.
