The cover image features a rendering from the digital reconstruction of the lost church of Sant’Andrea in Chieri, long regarded as one of Filippo Juvarra’s most significant and enigmatic works. Considered a pivotal project in Juvarra’s career, the church has been interpreted as a transitional design between his early Roman-influenced architecture and his later work. Destroyed in 1811 during Napoleon’s occupation of Piedmont, the church survives only through historical drawings and a single painted view of its demolition. The process underlying its digital reconstruction, based on the geometric analysis and interpolation of these iconographic sources and informed by Juvarra’s broader architectural corpus, is presented in the article by Silvia De Matteis included in this issue.
