Login or Register to make a submission.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal.

  • The submission file is in MS Word and follows the SDH Template
  • All the references are mentioned in the paper and are ordered alphabetically according to the surname of the first author
  • The citation style follows strictly the example mentioned in the template
  • Where available, URLs for the references are provided

1. Articles should be submitted in the required template in MS Word format (click here to download) with the following elements:

  • Title
  • Author(s) with institutional affiliation(s)
  • Abstract (not to exceed 300 words)
  • Footnote on the first page including possible financing sources and the extended affiliation of each author, including physical address and email address
  • Keywords do not exceed 5
  • Body of the paper
  • Subsections should be numbered 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.
  • Figures, illustrations, diagrams, and/or tables should be positioned in an appropriate place in the body of the paper with captions and, if appropriate, credits (numbered consecutively as cited in the body of the paper). Possibly, in addition to the figures embedded in the paper, the image files should be uploaded in the "artworks" section
  • Acknowledgements (if any)
  • References

2. Footnotes should be avoided or kept to a minimum if unavoidable. For citations, authors are required to use the SDH Stylesheet. Only works cited in the body and footnotes should be included in (h) references. Authors are encouraged to use a reference manager system (Zotero, EndNote, etc.) to keep their reference style consistent in the text, footnotes, and references.

3. Authors are encouraged to publish interactive 3D models when appropriate to the topic. The journal has its own Sketchfab account where any mesh or point cloud provided by the authors can be uploaded. The author should submit their model in a zip file containing the obj, mtl, and texture file or as a ply file in the 3D model section of the submission process. SDH also supports services such as 3DHop and Unity WebGL players. The link to the models should be positioned within the article's body in a way analogous to a figure, diagram, etc.
