David Alpaugh

David Alpaugh studied English at Rutgers University and the University of California, Berkeley where he held Woodrow Wilson and Ford Foundation fellowships. His poetry, fiction, drama, and criticism have appeared in such journals as Boundary 2, ELH, Light, Modern Drama, Poetry, Poets & Writers, Twentieth Century Literature, and Wisconsin Review, as well as in the Norton Critical Edition: Eight Modern Plays and the Heyday Books anthology California Poetry from the Gold Rush to the Present. His first book of poetry, Counterpoint, won the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize from Story Line Press. His latest collection, Heavy Lifting, was published in 2007 by Alehouse Press.
