Ralph Didlake, The University of Mississippi Medical Center
Ralph Didlake is Professor of Surgery and Director of the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed a medical degree and surgical training at the University of Mississippi followed by a surgical fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and graduate study in bioethics and health policy at Loyola University, Chicago. He has published in the areas of clinical surgery and experimental medicine. His current research focus is on the portrayal of the 20th Century American physician in literature and film as a platform for teaching ethics and medical humanities.
