has worked in social service settings, including autistic and intellectually challenged children with special needs, with the frail elderly, and for homeless animals, as well as children with English in after-school programs. She has also taught adult ESL. She also has tutored in English, Art, and Math, and worked with an environmental
company, import-export companies, and in the field of marketing. After Hurricane Katrina, she manned phones for the American Red Cross and searched for and wrote grants for an artist collective that supported children with disabilities. Currently, Jeanne is working with preschool children and getting a Masters in Early Childhood Education, and plans to use writing to heal.
