Teresa Laye

 

attended the University of Texas at Austin in the late 1980's and early 1990's and studied English literature and poetry, with professors Judith Kroll and David Wevill. After college she traveled extensively throughout the Americas and Europe, earning a living through various adventures, including following the Grateful Dead, selling hand-made shoes, working in bookstores, bakeries and modeling nude for art classes. Her love of reading and writing and poetry has been the one constant in her life. Living in Copenhagen, Denmark since 1997, she is a freelance translator, political and environmental activist, and she is a single mother, working two jobs while raising two children, and she devotedly attends her yoga and meditation class every Thursday.
