Abstract
The text explores the correlation between Otto Plath and the ocean in Sylvia Plath’s works, including: “Ocean 1212 – W,” “Among the Bumblebees,” “Full Fathom Five,” and “The Colossus.” The author aims to identify specific excerpts from Plath’s literature that employ such ideas. Through the examination of poetry and prose, it will be shown how Sylvia Plath was heavily influenced by her father’s life and death, especially with its connection to the sea.
