Introduction to Issue 7
Main Article Content
Abstract
Issue 7 of Law & Disorder includes 12 articles that approach special education and law from a variety of perspectives. From autism spectrum disorder to psychopathy, and the classroom to the courtroom, authors address current issues that impact youth with a compassionate and analytical approach. This issue also marks a move towards a relatively even blend between topics in special education and topics in maladaptive social behavior. How should the education system and the classroom be altered to accommodate the needs of neurodivergent individuals? In what ways does maladaptive behavior, both from youths and from their parents, affect the lives of adolescents in and out of the classroom? These questions are explored throughout Issue 7 of Law & Disorder.
