Main Article Content
Abstract
This report explores first-generation college students (FGCS) within higher education. It delves into the unique challenges faced by these students regarding academic, financial, and social challenges; and their struggle with awareness of the resources that can address these challenges. This report advocates that considering the information provided on FGCS, the policy surrounding FGCS should incorporate components such as intentionality, interdisciplinarity, and student-centered perspectives to provide a more holistic, comprehensive, and integrative approach to FGCS.
