A Blended Approach to Fiscal Policy: Democrats and Republicans Work Together to Decrease Deficits and Debts
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to explain the different approaches to economic policy according to both the Democratic and Republican parties.Through my research, I found that Democrats take more of a fiscal approach, while Republicans take a monetary one. Although the two parties have differing views, both search for the same ultimate goal: achieving the optimal economy. In order to reach this goal, I found that in the end, the approach to economic policy is actually a blended one between the Democratic and Republican Parties by utilizing both monetary and fiscal policies. Throughout this paper, I will be focusing on each parties' respective approaches to fiscal policy.
