The Juxtaposition of Color and Villainy in Gotham City
Main Article Content
Abstract
Color is frequently used during the comic book creation process as a way to assist readers in identifying the roles of objects and people within the story, especially in superhero comics. Despite traditional color schemes that feature brightly clad superheroes and dark villains, the various Batman-related comic book series do not adhere to them. The following analysis seeks to provide an explanation for the reversal of color schemes by delving past appearance alone and discovering how motivations, self-perceptions, and self-acceptance can influence costume choice.
