Teaching English grammar to speakers of English

Abstract
This paper suggests an approach to teaching a course in the English language to students who already know it. It views language users as problem solvers and focuses on the decisions speakers of English need to make in order to keep their language simple enough to be an efficient tool for communication yet expressive enough to communicate what they need to communicate.

Author shall indemnify and hold Publisher harmless against loss of expenses arising from breach of any such warranties.
5. Licensing and Reuse: Reuse of the published Work will be governed by a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/ ). This lets others remix, tweak, and build upon the Work non-commercially; although new works must acknowledge the original IULCWP publication and be non-commercial, they do not have to be licensed on the same terms.
