Abstract
In this original and provocative book, Keona Ervin positions black work ing-class women at the forefront of the movement for racial and economic justice in St. Louis between 1930 and 1970. Neither bystanders nor mere contributors, black women stand as the central figures in shaping a radical black labor politics.
