A Centennial In Review: Some Events In Optometry One Hundred Years Ago

Abstract
This paper describes a sampling of events in optometry in 1924. Included are discussions of meetings of the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry; work of the International Board of Examiners in Optometry; the first year of the Northwest Journal of Optometry which was the precursor of today’s journal Optometry and Vision Science; and optometry schools attended by optometrists practicing in 1924.
