About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The journal presents original research findings and theoretical analyses on all aspects of contemporary legend. The articles range from case studies of individual legends, historical analogues, and exploration of legends in society to analyses of performances, transmission, form, meaning, and function.

Publication Frequency
To disseminate scholarship in a timely manner, Contemporary Legend publishes articles, research notes, and reviews on a rolling basis. An “issue” constitutes all works published in a calendar year.
Open Access Policy
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
