Hypoxia Phase II Data Dictionary


FSA

State_space_id: subject ID assigned by IU in order of subject intake for Phase II. Prefix “hpx2” followed by 3 numbers ex: 001

Subject_number: subject number assigned by IU in order of subject intake across Phases I and II. ex: 27

User_id: alphanumeric user ID randomly assigned to user when they created an Aim Lab account. This is the user ID Statespace uses to identify play data

Condition: baseline, normoxia, hypoxia

Timepoint: experimental time point (baseline, 60 minutetimepoint, 90 minutetimepoint

ambient_temp_c: measured by IU at each time point
heart_rate:  measured by IU at each time point
fi_o2: measured by IU at each time point
sp_o2: measured by IU at each time point
              
Task_name: for FSA, there are 3 tasks, each of which has a different target size (small, medium, large). Corresponding task names are reflexshot_small, reflexshot_medium, reflexshot_large

Target_size: relative size of target for each task in arbitrary units 

Total_num_shots: across 3 60-second runs of the same condition/timepoint/target_size, total number of times subject attempts to shoot a target, regardless of success
        
Total_num_spawns: across 3 60-second  runs of the same condition/timepoint/target_size, total number of targets that appear on the screen

Total_num_kills: across 3 60-second runs of the same condition/timepoint/target_size, total number of targets successfully destroyed

Total_num_misses: across 3 runs of the same condition/timepoint/target_size, total number of shots fired that did not hit any target (total_num_misses + total_num_kills = total_num_shots)
       
Median_shot_accuracy: across 3 runs of the same condition/timepoint/target_size, median number of targets destroyed/number of shots fired

Median_percent_correct: across 3 runs of the same condition/timepoint/target_size, median number of  targets destroyed/number of targets spawned

Median_first_shot_time: across 3 runs of the same condition/timepoint/target_size, median of time in seconds of first shot per target after each target appears 

Median_first_shot_error: across 3 runs of the same condition/timepoint/target_size, median distance in degrees from location of first shot to center of the target

playlist_time_length:  time in hours/minutes/seconds of the start of the 9th (last) reflexshot run in the FSA playlist - time in hours/minutes/seconds of the start of the first reflexshot run in the FSA playlist. This is a proxy for the length of the pauses between runs.

Condition_order: participants were randomized to one of two condition orders (0 = baseline, normoxia, hypoxia; 1 = baseline, hypoxia, normoxia)

Cond_time: concatenation of condition (baseline, normoxia, hypoxia) and time point (baseline, 60 min, 90 min)

playlist_order:  the order (1-5) in which the participant played FSA playlist over the course of their experimental session 

spo2_decrease: decrease in spo2 from measurement taken at the beginning of the baseline session (spo2 at baseline - spo2 at given playlist order)
