We are delighted to announce that Professor Panagiotis (Panos) A. Kanellopoulos will join the Board of Editorial Consultants of the Philosophy of Music Education Review. His research focuses on the interconnections between education, philosophy, politics and creative music making, and has been published internationally in numerous edited volumes (including The Oxford Handbook of Social Justice in Music Education) and leading research journals (including the Philosophy of Music Education Review, the British Journal of Music Education, Action Criticism and Theory for Music Education, and Educational Philosophy & Theory). He has co-edited the volume Arts in Education, Education in the Arts (Nissos, 2010, in Greek), and is currently co-editing The Routledge Handbook of Sociology and Music Education. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Music Education at the University of Thessaly, Greece, has been co-chair of the International Society for the Philosophy of Music Education, co-organizer of the Society's 10th International Symposium at Teachers College Columbia University, New York, USA (2013), and site chair and host of the Society's 11th International Symposium at the University of Thessaly, Greece (2017).
