Farewell, thank you, and best of luck to Rafia Khader
Posted on 2022-01-18Dear Friends of JMPCS,
Happy New Year. We write today to say farewell, thank you, and best of luck to Rafia Khader. Rafia is departing from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and her role as Managing Editor of the Journal of Muslim Philanthropy & Civil Society (JMPCS) to join LaunchGood, a new fundraising platform. Rafia joined the Lilly Family School as a program manager in 2017 and worked extensively with the Lake Institute for Faith and Giving and the Muslim Philanthropy Initiative. Under Rafia’s editorial guidance, JMPCS grew from a small niche journal to comprehensive and robust space for the study of Muslim philanthropy broadly conceived. We would not be here today without her hard work! Thank you, Rafia, for your vision and dedication.
We also welcome two new Associate Editors to the team, Dr. Zeeshan Noor and Dr. Micah A. Hughes. Dr. Noor completed his PhD in Public Policy from the University of Texas-Dallas, and Dr. Hughes finished his PhD in Religious Studies/Islamic Studies at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Welcome to JMPCS!
Sincerely,
The Editorial Team of JMPCS
