Abstract
This reflection is on some of the themes of crises of European man the author discussed thirty years ago and how his critique leads to an understanding not only of postcolonial and Africana phenomenology but also African phenomenology and a variety of important implications for discussing contemporary crises of human existence on our much transformed and, in phenomenological and lived terms, smaller planet.
