Abstract

Demystifying Educational Leadership and Administration in the Middle East and North Africa exemplifies the historical and sociopolitical context that shapes the practices of leadership in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). There is a prevalent deficit narrative regarding the practices examined under the rubric of educational leadership and administration. This volume aims not only to analyze the construction and practice of educational leadership and administration in the MENA region but also to inquire into how leaders make meaning of the colonial past and the global present. This book interrogates the manner in which educational leadership is the ongoing terrain or concern to produce identity.
