This report presents research conducted by students in MSCH-R348: Public Relations Planning and Research in partnership with Purdue Extension to assess community readiness for agritourism development in Orange County, Indiana. The team performed a situation analysis, qualitative interviews with farmers and tourism professionals, and a quantitative survey of potential tourists. Findings highlight motivations, barriers, and communication preferences related to agritourism. The report concludes with strategic recommendations for Purdue Extension to build trust with farmers, improve marketing outreach, and engage key publics including local families, schools, and tourists from surrounding areas. This report contains original student work and recommendations created by students in MSCH-R348: Public Relations Planning and Research for Purdue Extension. The views expressed do not represent those of IUSHC, CRE, Indiana University, or Purdue Extension.
