Abstract

In November the Northwest Indiana Coincident Index fell 1.3 points from 141.3 to 140.0. This decline was driven primarily by a 7% decrease in steel production for November. Monthly steel production has dropped by more than 1 million net tons (-16%) since the start of the year. The forecast for economic growth over the next six months weakened slightly to 0.7%.
