Nationally, college student persistence has hovered around 80% for nearly three decades; however, at many institutions the persistence rate for students of color is substantially lower. As practitioners, it is important for us to investigate why many might be leaving. Using data from the National Survey of Student Engagement's First Year Experiences and Senior Transitions module, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the factors that influence students of color's decision to leave an institution.en
