dc.description.abstractIn April the Northwest Indiana Coincident Index rose by 0.5 points to 146.3, following a strong month of March. The increase was driven by continued strong growth in employment (+1.1%) and retail sales (+0.4%) but slowed some by a decline in steel production (-5.6%). The forecast for economic growth over the next six months continues to remain stable at 1%.en
