Abstract
Eleven score and 14 years ago the United States Constitution was ratified. The framers had outlined many procedures that would affect the nation for the rest of its existence, one being the Electoral College. 234 years later, experts argue if the Electoral College is the most modern and fair way to decide the President. The Electoral College is the most modern and fair way to decide the President. The Electoral College serves many purposes, many of which are not well-known. Through an original survey and a review of scholarly literature, this project will examine the less-publicized purposes of the Electoral College and demonstrate how it has proved to be the more effective alternative.
