Abstract

The IUScholarWorks Journal Service is an open access publishing option for IU scholars who desire local control over their journals. Editors from four IUScholarWorks journals will discuss their experiences working with IUScholarWorks to host their publications focusing on: Editorial workflow support Software training Design customization Technical processes Peer Review processes Migrating backfile content Publishing formats: pdf, xml, html, flash Copyright consultation The editors will comment on how the software programs (Open Journal Systems and DSpace) support their needs as publishers, and share their view on the open access business model. They will also provide feedback from their authors and readers. Jennifer Laherty, Head of IUScholarWorks and Jim Halliday, Digital Library Programmer for IUScholarWorks will give a brief update of services and the software upgrade completed in late 2011. IUScholarWorks is supported by the IU Libraries and the IU Digital Library Program, a collaborative effort of the IU Libraries and University Information Technology Services.
