Abstract

In Vincennes, Indiana, plans were developed for a mural and adjacent seating along the exterior of The Pantheon, a historic 1920s-era theater building. The proposed mural is intended to honor the founding of Vincennes while activating a prominent façade along a well-known downtown landmark. Paired with seating, the design envisions a gathering space that would encourage people to linger, reflect, and connect with the site’s history. Together, these elements aim to enhance the experience of the Pantheon’s exterior while reinforcing its role as a cultural touchstone within the community.
