dc.description.abstract | This is a guide to locating and using research reference sources for a broad range of fields in traditional Chinese studies, covering time periods from the Shang to Qing Dynasties. It includes bibliographies, terminology lists, visual guides for the use of complex reference sources, and general discussions. The Handbook was initially prepared in the 1980s, with updates through 2011, and consequently uses Wade-Giles transcription. A conversion chart is provided in the initial chapter. This Handbook is intended to provide open-access online teaching materials, to be freely used or modified by individuals or by teachers employing them in a not-for-profit context. | en |
