dc.description.abstractIn Shoals, Indiana, efforts to strengthen Main Street continued through a second phase of coordinated storefront and signage design. Building on earlier work completed in 2024, comprehensive design students reconnected with local businesses and residents in 2025 to develop additional sign designs for remaining storefronts along Main Street. The expanded signage plan extends throughout the Shoals Historic River District, creating a more unified and recognizable visual identity for downtown businesses. Installation began in summer 2025 and is expected to continue through the remainder of the year, gradually bringing the updated designs into the streetscape.
