Stigma can create barriers to treatment and support, and the Daviess Advances Recovery Access Consortium (DARAC) distributed a survey about stigma Daviess County residents have experienced related to mental health and substance use disorder. The data and quotes in this document are informed by the survey, which received 115 responses. From the feedback and conversations with DARAC members, a set of recommendations was created to address the gaps of where stigma is most present.
