Abstract

In this research project we investigate whether the use of descriptive infographics created with aesthetic design principles can supplement text as a learning form in higher levels of pedagogy. So, for this project, we looked at commonly used computing books and identified cases where aesthetic designs were missing. We then designed descriptive infographics created with aesthetic design principles and tested our interdisciplinary (graphic design+Informatics) design on end users to understand its effect on user perception and learning.
