Description
This report presents strategies to enhance awareness and engagement for Creating Access for Student Transformation (CAST), focusing on its dyslexia programs and volunteer initiatives. Developed by Indiana University MSCH-R 349 Public Relations Writing students, the plan outlines promotional tactics to increase visibility and participation. Key recommendations include leveraging partnerships with IU Corps and the Kelley Institute for Social Impact to share volunteer opportunities through newsletters and social media, creating parent-focused educational sessions on dyslexia, and expanding digital outreach via YouTube and online programs. The report also suggests sustainable growth strategies, such as offering creative and life-skill resources and transitioning tutoring services to virtual formats to improve accessibility.
This report reflects original student research and recommendations from Indiana University MSCH-R 349 Public Relations Writing in collaboration with Washington County as part of the 2020–21 Sustaining Hoosier Communities initiative. The views expressed are those of the students and do not represent Indiana University, the Center for Rural Engagement, or Washington County.
