dc.description.abstract | Through this research, the importance of maintaining & acknowledging the mental wellbeing of collegiate athletes will be enhanced across the campuses holding athletic teams within their institution. The research will include self-reported responses, each measuring the academic anxieties felt, the quality of sleep obtained, and the mental wellbeing of athletes. I predict that the better the sleep quality an athlete has, the better their mental well-being will be. Meanwhile, the less academic anxiety an athlete has, the better their mental well-being will be. Overall, academic anxiety will have more of an impact on the well-being of college athletes. | |
