Extending Access for Computational Text Analysis to Protected Data in a Large Scale Digital Library

Abstract

The HathiTrust Research Center (HTRC) is developing infrastructure to support computational text analysis of the large scale HathiTrust Digital Library. The HTRC’s platform allows researchers to perform text analysis using both point-and-click tools and self-guided workflows in a secure computing environment. This talk will describe the development of the HTRC Analytics gateway (www.analytics.hathitrust.org) and improvements that extend the analytic capabilities of the system to include protected data.
