dc.descriptionThis report outlines a comprehensive corridor study and economic development plan targeting the growth and optimization of the I-69 corridor connecting to Daviess County, Indiana, with a focus on the Washington Exit 62 and Odon Exit 76 interchanges. The strategies are tailored to the distinct semi-urban and rural characteristics of these areas, leveraging the county's assets while addressing socio-economic strengths ad constraints. To drive strategic economic development planning and initiatives, this report will explore key objectives such as enhancing infrastructure, stimulating economic growth, maximizing corridor potential, and promoting sustainable, equitable development. This project was completed as a collaboration between the students in O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and Daviess County as part of the 2024-25 Indiana University Sustaining Hoosier Communities (IUSHC) initiative. IUSHC is a program within the IU Center for Rural Engagement (CRE). This report represents original student work and recommendations proposed by the students in O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
