dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to research an underrepresented population, including those of the LGTBQ+ community, regarding possible environmental hardships and their relationship with mental health issues. The study was conducted via an online survey, including participants aged 18 years or older, recruited via social media. The results of this study are important to include and build upon in future research regarding mental health and environmental hardships, especially for LGBTQ+ people. The results of this study also suggest a greater need for mental health services and government assistance for LGBTQ+ people. | |
