Abstract

A dicussion of the importance of congshu ("collectanea," or series of independent works published as a collection) in traditional Chinese literary culture. Illustrated guides to using the challenging inexes to congshu are provided. The chapter includes an annotated list of congshu in the Indiana University library collection.
