dc.description.abstract | Using data from the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), session participants will learn of strategies to collaborate with data handlers on their campus to assess student engagement and academic advising. After a brief overview of the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) and the Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE), as well as the popular NSSE academic advising module, participants will work in small groups to identify how data from these surveys can be used to better understand the impact of advising on student success. This session will also include strategies to collaborate with data handlers on their campus to assess student engagement and academic advising. Presenters will lead a discussion about ways to forge campus partnerships and encourage impactful dialogue on the improvement of academic advising and student engagement. | |
