Abstract
This small thematic atlas of Lake County, Indiana, is, I believe, the first one of its kind. Its maps are designed to give their user a general overview of the historical and cultural development of this county.
There are three types of cartographic products in this atlas: maps that were redrawn adaptations of existing maps, maps that were compiled by combining elements contained on two or more existing maps, and maps that were compiled from statistical sources. All major map and statistical data sources are listed in a separate section at the end of the atlas.
