dc.description.abstract | A more diverse society has led to a more diverse college-going population and faculty body, but the need for restoring public trust in higher education is especially important for subpopulations that have traditionally been marginalized within the higher education system. Often these groups represent small proportions of an overall population, which can present a variety of challenges when trying to conduct assessments of their experiences. This session explores the challenges and possible solutions for those working toward improving the experiences of small subpopulations. The session will consist of highly interactive discussions focusing on the value of inclusivity in restoring public trust in higher education, reflections on assessing the experiences of small subpopulations, and creating plans for further understanding the experiences of small subpopulations for the purpose inclusive improvement. | |
