Description
This report provides a strategic plan for expanding CAST’s dyslexia program and organizational capacity to serve more students in Southern Indiana. Developed by Indiana University BUS-A 569 Field Consulting students, the plan addresses four key areas: employee expansion, financial sustainability, promotion strategy, and regional growth. Recommendations include creating new roles such as Certified DII Trainer and Dyslexia Resource Center Coordinator, increasing revenue through program pricing adjustments and corporate sponsorships, and leveraging partnerships with IU Corps and Kelley Institute for Social Impact to boost volunteer engagement. The report also proposes regional teacher training programs to enable school corporations to establish their own dyslexia tutoring services, prioritizing expansion into Clark and Scott counties.
This report reflects original student research and recommendations from Indiana University BUS-A 569 Field Consulting in collaboration with Creating Access for Student Transformation as part of the 2021–2022 Sustaining Hoosier Communities initiative. The views expressed are those of the students and do not represent Indiana University, the Center for Rural Engagement, or Creating Access for Student Transformation.
