Abstract
It has become increasingly difficult to connect with students on a deeper level and hear about the challenges they face in their college journey, both financial and otherwise. Because of this, focus groups provide a valuable tool in the financial educator's arsenal. This session will outline one project's use of focus groups in combination with a completion grant as a method for learning about the challenges in getting to graduation for low-income students in their last 1-2 semesters of college.
