More than 1,600 four-year colleges and universities have data from NSSE about student engagement in practices that matter to student learning and success. Although many institutions use these data to monitor and document effectiveness, too few regularly use their results to make data-informed decisions. This session highlights lessons from campuses that have effectively used NSSE data to make strategic decisions about resource allocation and to inform efforts to enhance undergraduate education. We will highlight how Stetson University used powerful data visualization to expand access to and use of NSSE data to inform institutional decision-making and explore the role of institutional research in helping colleges and universities know where to invest. Join this discussion about general lessons for using educational quality measures, and in particular, how NSSE data can help you make better decisions about student success.
